In 1973, Dr. John slipped on a wet floor and injured his back. The chiropractor who helped him didn't just get him out of pain — he explained how a healthy spine and nervous system affect everything. That experience changed Dr. John's life and eventually led him to Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he graduated in 1980. Two years later, he opened Nowak Chiropractic right here in South Buffalo, and he hasn't left.

Why Dr. John Nowak
He Became a Chiropractor Because It Changed His Life
In 1973, Dr. John Nowak slipped on a wet floor and hurt his back. He was in pain, struggling to get comfortable, and not sure where to turn. A chiropractor helped him feel better than he had in years — and then took the time to explain why. How the spine works. How the nervous system affects everything. How keeping it healthy matters more than most people realize.

That experience stayed with him. He enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic — the school where chiropractic was born — graduated in 1980, and opened Nowak Chiropractic in South Buffalo in 1982. He hasn't left.

Over 40 years later, Dr. John is still here. Still seeing patients one on one. Still explaining things in plain language. Still treating the South Buffalo community he's called home his entire career.

A Doctor Who Has Seen It All — And Keeps Learning
